Painting a copy of the Sistine Chapel Ceiling immersed Gary into the world of the Old Testament for five years.  Spending those five years painting in the Presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament also gave Gary the desire to know more and more about his faith.  Gary sometimes painted throughout the night with only a single light on top of his tower and the little glow of the Sanctuary Lamp next to the Tabernacle containing the Eucharistic Presence and so he developed a deep attraction for the Blessed Sacrament.  This has led him over the years to discern a vocation to the Deaconate where he is currently studying and training to become a Deacon.  Gary painted the Ceiling as a gift to the Church and God drew people from all over the world to step into the journey.  Gary conversed with people from all walks and states of life throughout the world who came to see the art process.  Many shared their own spiritual journeys and many were touched and drawn to the Catholic Faith due to their encounter with the church.
