PROPHETS AND SIBYLS

Prophets and Sibyls (female prophets) seated on monumental thrones are alternated along the long sides, while the short sides are dominated by the figures of Zachariah and and Jonah.  Beneath Zachariah Gary included the Crest of Pope John Paul the Second rather than the Crest of Pope Julias as this ceiling was painted during the Reign of John Paul the Great!
